Those who know me would ask why in the world I would do such
a thing like start a blog, because as most of you know I am far from a writer,
blogger or speller for that matter. But this has been a year of doing things
for me and making me a better person. I think I have gone through a lot of
changes (both negative and positive) this year that a blog is only naturally the
next step in doing something I never thought I would do. Even if no one reads
it (and I don’t plan on always telling the world when I may blog), this is just
another step in creating myself, who I am, and figuring out everything as I go.
I have so many positive events coming up and things I am so excited to take on
that this is going to be a great way to put it all out there.
So where do I start? I don’t even know how this works or
what I am supposed to do. I feel like a lost loser who is going way out of
their comfort shell. But I’m going to talk about a few things going on, what I
am looking forward to and what is to come next.
My first crazy (actually insane) thing I did out of my box
this year was sign up for the Nike Women’s Half Marathon. Why the hell I would
sign up for a 13.2 mile run through the streets and killer hills of SF is
beyond my idea. I hate running, I hate running outside and I once again (stressing,
clearly) my ass doesn’t run. But I am signed up to run this insane thing in
October and I am actually really excited. It gives me a reason to hit the gym,
never stop and I keep reminding myself how happy Ill be when it is OVER! Toby
and I have been running the beautiful Sawyer Camp Trail in Crystal Springs,
each time pushing ourselves another mile. We have hit 6 straight miles, non-stop,
no breaks so far and it is an amazing feeling. Never in a million years would I
be THAT girl. Also, I have stepped up my gym game and I now (as of tonight) am
a member of 24 hour super sport in San Mateo. I’m really excited for the high
school reunion I will get to enjoy. Anyways, stay tuned for more NWHM detail
with all our training.
Crash course in the last 9 months….I am a babysitter to the
two BEST kids any girl could hope to watch for and a cute dog who is my running
partner around Redwood Shores. I graduated from San Jose State in May and I am
so excited to never go back. I will be going back to Tifffany’s as a seasonal
sales girl once again (so excited! It’s the BEST company to be working for!) I
quit coaching, which was a heart break but I am ready for the next career
adventure. This leads me to my next exciting announcement, my November 6th job
interview (part three) with GTM Sportswear in Manhattan, Kansas! They are
flying me out for two days to meet and interview. If I land this CAREER, I will
be back in the “little apple” in January for my three week sales training. I
would be an ambassador for Northern California selling gymnastics, cheer and
dance wear. Fingers are CROSSED!
So I guess this is where I start?? I have a feeling this
blog will be a lot of me talking to myself, and blogging about stuff no one
cares about, but hey, it’s something new. Little this, little that.
I want to end each blog with a quote. If you know me, quotes
are my LIFE! I have a collection of 27 pages (and growing all the time) of
quotes. Everything from life, love, passion, faith and movies. So here is your/mine
first one and one of my favorite.
“She is clothed in dignity and strength and laughs without
fear of the future.”
